PhotoFast has announced a second PCI Express based SSD card with even higher performance and capacities in comparison to its last product and with read and write speeds of 1000MB/s this looks set to be one of the fastest SSD's to date.
As you can see from the picture below, the new models has grown a fair bit in size and it will take up two expansion slots in your system. The G-Monster-Promise as the card is called connects to a PCI Express x8 slot in your system and this is part of the reason why the card can reach so high read and write speeds.
PhotoFast will offer models ranging from 256GB to 1TB in size and all models come with 256MB of cache. PhotoFast has gone for MLC flash memory which is generally known to be slower than SLC, but this doesn't seem to be the case here.
Cost wise, you're looking at US$2,002 for hte 256GB model, $3,015 for the 512GB version and finally a whopping $4,435 for the 1TB model.
