A-DATA jumps the gun with triple channel DDR3
Vitesta DDR3 at 1333 and 1600MHz
Even though Intel's Nehalem, also known as Core i7, is still over a month away, A-Data decided to spill the beans on its DDR3 triple channel memory kits. The new Vitesta DDR3 series will be available in 3 and 6GB capacities at 1333MHz and 1600MHz speeds.
The new kits, painted in a nice racing red color, will work at 1600MHz with 8-8-8-24 latencies while the lower priced 1333MHz kit should end up with with 7-7-7-20 latencies. According to the press release, the rated voltage for the DDR3-1333+ is 1.65V-1.75V which might be a problem with some X58 motherboards as Asus' motheboard comes with a sticker that warns about memory with voltage rated above 1.65V.
Both kits are backed by a lifetime warranty and are made on a high quality 6 layer PCB. A-Data wasn't kind enough to release the price tag of these new kits as they will have to wait for Intel's Nehalem to make its appearance in November.
