Intel's motherboard partners are still working hard to get
its X38 high end motherboard chipsets ready for the launch.
There is still no fixed date but we know that the
motherboards should be ready in Q3 and we would expect to see some of them in
late August or early September time. Until that time P35 takes a lead role of
the top end DDR3 chipset.
Many DDR3 manufactures as well as the motherboard chaps have
confirmed that X38 should be much friendlier to DDR3 setups and will let you
overclock even further but if you want one you better restrain yourself from a
motherboard upgrade at least till the end of the summer.
