A volume production
of DDR 3 is ramping up and some vendors will be there. It is a status symbol I
guess.
DDR3 starts at 800 and
1066 MHz and many vendors want to be there. Quimonda the Infenion's memory
brand showed up its face so many times. It has production of the chips and
Samsung is ramping up its production as well.
Corsair will have its
modules ready in April at 1066 but we don’t know the timings jet. This gives
you rough idea when Intel plans to officially announce the P35 and G33 chipsets,
the only one in the market that can and will support DDR 3.
DDR 3 1333 is
scheduled for later this year.
