Platform launches middle of next month

A few days ago, Microsoft released a new Windows Insider preview build to the public that contains the first available demonstration of the Windows Mixed Reality platform that will  launch later this month, along with new lightweight head-mounted displays providing six degrees of freedom to remove physical boundaries.

First developer kits arriving later this month

Last week Microsoft decided to make a brand name change to the Windows Holographic platform that will ship with an upcoming version of Windows and enable a variety of apps and programs to run on new head-mounted display units arriving this spring.
