Now officially priced at US $499

In a rather surprising move, AMD has now cut the price of its mini-ITX Radeon R9 Nano graphics card down to US $499, which puts it at the same price as the Radeon Fury (non-X).

Unclear what is under the bonnet

The AMD Radeon R9 Nano graphics card, based on Fiji GPU and HBM, has been on the market for a while and it appears that Asus has decided to make a pimped up version with a white cooler shroud.

Although officially launched in late August, the AMD Fiji GPU-based mini-ITX Radeon R9 Nano has now started to show up in retail/e-tail, priced at US $649 in the US and around €699 in Europe. The first reviews are coming in.

AMD has now officially launched its newest Radeon R9 Nano graphics card, a 6-inch mini-ITX graphics card based on a fully enabled Fiji GPU with 4096 Stream Processors and a hefty US $649.99 price tag.

Official specification slide leaks

Scheduled to launch tomorrow, full specifications for the AMD Radeon R9 Nano have found their way online and thanks to a leaked company slide we now know that it will be based on a fully enabled Fiji GPU.

Hands-on pictures appear online

According to the latest rumors, AMD should launch its short Fiji-based AMD Radeon R9 Nano graphics card on Thursday, August 27th, with the market availability expected a week later.
