We learned
that the faster iteration of RV670, codenamed Gladiator, has a TDP of 135W and
this is actually not bad for a graphics card. R600 has 240W TDP which makes
RV670 almost twice better than its previous brother.
The actual
power usage of RV670 is just above 100W and this means that there should be a
chance that it can work without a power connector at least in PCIe 2.0
motherboard.
Last time
we heard about the Gladiator our sources claimed the performance close to R600
for the mainstream price. We will continue watching this space.
