Nvidia just
released a new Geforce 8M series for mobile computers. There is a bunch of new
chips and the fastest DirectX 10 that supports HD video is Geforce 8700M
GT and this one is available at TOSHIBA SATELLITE x205. This is supposed to be
the fastest mobile DirectX 10 hardware around. This is an enthusiast product.
In mainstream area Nvidia has Geforce 8600M GT and Geforce 8600M GS and these
GPUs are part of ACER Aspire 5920G series. In thin and light market Nvidia
offers three GPUs, Geforce 8400M GT, Geforce 8400M GS and Geforce 8400M G and
these ones are available in Sony VAIO VGN-FZ180E/B.
Geforce 8600M GT has 32 stream processors, 475 MHz core
clock, 950 MHz Shader clock, 700 MHz memory clock a 128 bit memory interface
and maximum of 512 MB of memory.
Second in raw 8600M GS has 16 stream processors 600 MHz core
clock, 1200 MHz Shader clock, 700 MHz memory clock and 512 MB of 128 bit
memory.
The Geforce 8700M GT GPU is available in notebooks from Toshiba, Sager,Prostar, Eurocom, Biohazard,
Connoiseur, Cybersystem, Hypersonic, MALIBAL, Multirama, rock, Evesham, Falcon
Northwest, Plaisio, XS2, Nexoc, Hyrican, Vigor Gaming, Voodoo PC, and many
others.
