Asus is among the first to announce new AMD Mobility Radeon X2300. There are no suffixes, the chip is just called ATI Mobility Radeon X2300. Asus calls its notebook ASUS A8JR-4P030C, and this is a laptop not R2D2's distant cousin.

It is powered by a Core 2 Duo T5500 and works at 2x 1.66 GHz, has 1024 MB of memory, 120 GB HDD, DVD-RW with support for dual layer and a 14.1 inch TFT with 1280x800 resolution. It also has a bunch of connectors, a card reader, DVI out, web camera and a 6 cell battery. It is not the lightest thing even as it weights 2.4 Kilos.

This is a Vista home premium system and you get 24 monhts warranty. When ATI launches X2xxx cards based on the RV6xxx this might cause some confusion
