Ahead of rumored January launch

Danish retailer Foniks and an Israeli shop have begun listing AMD's upcoming Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT graphics cards as available for immediate shipping.

According to Videocardz, this means AMD’s RDNA4-based GPUs could hit the market soon, with a potential launch date of January 24, though official confirmation remains elusive.

According to Foniks, at least four units of the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT are in stock, while the Israeli retailer confirmed availability via a Reddit post. Pricing details, however, appear inconsistent with AMD's prior assurances that the RDNA4 series would remain under $1,000.

Further speculation comes from Geizhals, a German price aggregation site, which lists January 24 as the launch date for the Radeon RX 9070 series, with a product reveal expected two days earlier. This aligns with the expected GeForce RTX 5090 review embargo, potentially setting up a head-to-head competition in the GPU market.

While some retailers claim to already have stock, AMD has yet to provide official announcements, release NDAs, or ship review samples. Industry insiders note that AMD's internal scheduling has been inconsistent, leaving room for speculation about the exact timing of the launch.

The early listings and hints of availability have fuelled anticipation among gamers and PC enthusiasts eager to see how AMD's Radeon RX 9070 series will compete with NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5090 in the high-performance GPU market.
