Zotac issues manual overclocking profiles for GTX 1070 Ti

Workaround for their custom versions

While some partners have a luxury of built-in profiles in their overclocking utilities to work around Nvidia's weird factory overclocking restriction on the GTX 1070 Ti, Zotac was not so lucky and had to look for a different path, one with manual profiles.

Spotted by Videocardz.com, Zotac has published custom Firestorm profiles for its GTX 1070 Ti AMP! Extreme, GTX 1070 Ti AMP! Edition and even other Zotac Geforce graphics cards. As an example, a custom profile for GTX 1070 Ti AMP! Extreme raises the power limit to 140 percent (252W) and pushes the GPU Boost clock to 1833MHz, or +150MHz.

Bear in mind that this is not a one-click option like you get with some other manufacturers, which have custom Overclocking, Gaming, Silent or any other profile, but it still gets the job done and it is a matter of downloading the custom profile and applying it.

Hopefully, Nvidia will see just how futile is its attempt to prevent factory overclocking and abandon it but for now, AIC partners are stuck with these workarounds.
