While there is no precise date other than sometime in June, Gigabyte's new teaser includes a silhouette of a graphics card, which also means that the company has most likely picked a cooler that will go on the new card. Gigabyte's Xtreme Gaming series graphics cards is quite popular and has previously used a triple fan Windforce 3X cooler and in some cases even an AIO liquid cooler but we think they will stick with air cooling for now.
In case you missed it, Nvidia plans to sell its reference GTX 1080 graphics cards under Founders Edition name and at a US $100 premium, while partners will come up with custom graphics cards which will start at US $599.
We doubt that Gigabyte's custom GTX 1080 graphics card with Windforce 3X cooler will be cheaper but at least it might have a decent factory-overclock and eventually provide better cooling performance.
Unfortunately, we will have to wait for June and Gigabyte will probably showcase it at Computex 2016 show.
