Unigine Heaven DX11 Benchmark hits version 2.0
Just in time for Fermi
With Fermi fast approaching, it is about time for more DirectX 11 benchmarks to start cropping up. This time around, we’re talking about Unigine-based Heaven Benchmark, which hit version 2.0.
The most most notable feature in version 2.0 is that program brings support for “comprehensive use of tessellation technology”. Tessellation, as you might already know, is automatic subdivision of polygons into smaller pieces, which enables more realistic effects. You might have witnessed it in Dirt 2 or Metro 2033 which implements some DX 11 technologies.
All in all, it seems like the stage is set for Fermi and HD 5xxx to start duking it out, and who'd say no to that?
