A few hours ago,
Nvidia released its first drivers to support GPU-acceleration in the prerelease
of Adobe’s Flash
Player 10.1, making it easier to view full screen online HD video from
sites like YouTube, Vimeo and Hulu at significantly
smoother frame rates. The drivers are dated November 10th, 2009 and also
feature support for Nvidia’s recently launched Geforce GT 240 graphics card,
otherwise known as the last Geforce 200-series desktop GPU to launch before
Fermi arrives.
The Geforce 195.55 WHQL-candidate drivers include numerous
bug fixes from the previously distributed 195.39 beta drivers. For instance, antialiasing
modes in Borderlands can now be implemented through the NV Control Panel, poor
performance and shadow flickering in Need for Speed: Shift has been resolved, and
crashes in 3DMark06 due to Nvidia driver components have been resolved among
many other issues.
Nvidia’s full release notes for the Geforce 195.55
WHQL-candidate drivers are made available separately for Windows
XP, Windows
Vista and Windows
7.
