Industry sources have confirmed that XFX plans to start
overclocking Radeon HD 5870. The new product should come to market in
November and it should be nicely overclocked.
Our sources claim that XFX still has to make up its mind about
the final overclock, but it should not be just a marginal increase, although we must point out that we don’t
have any numbers for you yet.
There are two options that the company might use a stock
cooler or a custom one, but we still don’t know what will be the final
decision. The only thing certain is that it will end faster than a reference
card and that it will be in black, and wrapped in nice package.
