Industry sources have told Fudzilla that Nvidia is about to
post positive Q3 financial results. The demand was stronger and sales was
better compared to Q2 and despite the fact that Nvidia’s Fermi is not out,
Nvidia sells pretty much any chip it has in stock. ATI has huge shortages of
its 5800 series and this helps Nvidia to sell any remaining GT200s.
Nvidia missed a big opportunity to make even better financial score in its financial
Q3, between August and September as if they ordered enough GT200 wafers that
would be making even more money. We believe that revenue will be quite high
but the actual profit won’t be that great, however it will still be better than
losing money.
Nvidia’s financial Q4 also looks better than people expect
and we strongly believe that Nvidia will ship Fermi DX 11 parts in its fiscal Q4, from November to January and any other chip that they have is on
allocation, at least the more expensive ones. ATI on the other hand won’t be recovering from
the 5800 series shortage anytime soon.
