Nvidia's GT 220 and G210 ship October 12th
Two out of three cards
According to our info, Nvidia will officially launch GT 220 and G210 cards on October 12th. As you know, few days ago Gigabyte has jumped the gun with its version of the GT 220 OC card, and all the major partners will follow with its own versions once Nvidia lifts the NDA. The third card, branded GT 240 will come at a later date, probably sometime in November.
The cards are practically the same as the OEM versions released a while back so you will see the same number of stream processors for both GT 220 and the G210. According to our info, the clocks should be a bit different as partners will come up with its own versions which will probably end up overclocked and with different memory chips.
The third card, GT 240, is rumoured for the late November launch but might be pulled a bit earlier in order to give room for the GF100. In any case, expect a full launch of DirectX 10.1, GT 220 and G210 on October 12th.
