Not so long ago, ATI paid some 6 million dollars to Valve to make Half Life 2 run good on ATI hardware and to be optimized for DirectX 9 at the time. After a long delay, the game did ship but the Halo effect failed to materialize.

This time around Radeon HD 5870 comes with Dirt 2, first DirectX 11 game, but the game is delayed as it was supposed to launch on September 10th and now it's pushed to November time, at least.

Radeon HD 5850 will also come with the coupon and once the game is out, you will be able to get your DirectX 11 game, again months after the release of Radeon 5870 / 5850. Still, this is better than nothing and Stalker 2 is also one of the soon to come DirectX 11 titles.
