Nvidia graphics market share drops in Q2
AMD, Intel go up
Nvidia's graphics market share in Q2 has dropped 1.9 percent sequentially, while AMD and Intel have managed to improve their share by 1.3 and and 1.5 percent respectively.
Intel's market share has gone over 50 percent, to 51.2 percent to be exact. Nvidia holds 29.2 percent of the market, while AMD managed 18.4 percent. The market share of SiS, Matrox and VIA is negligible, at some 1.1 percent combined.
AMD shipments grew by 41.5 percent, while Nvidia managed 23.6 percent. Most importantly, total shipments seem to be recovering, with 98.3 million units shipped in Q2 versus 74.8 in Q1.
