Today, the green team released Geforce 182.52 drivers for
Windows (180.37.05 for Linux) which provide beta support for OpenGL 3.1 and GLSL
1.40 functionality.
The drivers support Geforce 8, 9, 100 and 200-series desktop
cards, the Quadro FX 370, 570, 1700, 3700, 4600, 4700x2, 4800, 5600, 5800,
Quadro VX200, and Quadro CX, ION, as well as the Quadro FX 360M, 370M, 570M,
770M, 1600M, 1700M, 2700M, 3600M, 3700M, and Geforce 8000-series notebook GPUs.
According to Nvidia, this driver now implements all of GLSL
1.30, all of OpenGL 3.0, and all of OpenGL 3.1 and GLSL 1.40. The company also
states that both OpenGL 3.0 and 3.1 require G80 or newer GPU architecture in
order to run.
