Western Digital has unveiled its new WD_BLACK SN770M NVMe SSD, an M.2 2230 form-factor SSD aimed at new handheld consoles like the Valve Steam deck, ASUS ROG Ally, and others.

Low price, same one-year warranty, and minor cosmetic blemishes

Valve has started to sell refurbished Steam Deck handheld consoles, "promising a reliable, high-quality gaming experience at a lower cost." These come with a few dings, but go through thorough testing and are backed by the same one-year warranty.

Down by up to 20 percent

Valve's handheld console, the Steam Deck, has been discounted by up to 20 percent during the Steam Summer Sale, with the most expensive model now priced at $519.20.

Valve closes that window

Valve has announced that it will be ending support for Steam on the Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 operating systems as of January 1st, 2024.

Coming in summer 2023

After a couple of rumors earlier, Valve has now officially confirmed and announced Counter-Strike 2. Based on Source 2 Engine, Valve calls it the "largest technical leap forward in Counter-Strike’s history".
