When the news was announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider was to be released as a Xbox console timed exclusive, we just assumed that Square Enix would be handling the publishing of the game. Apparently, that was not to be the case.

With the confirmation that the Microsoft exclusivity of Rise of the Tomb Raider was timed, does lead to a number of future possibilities. Still we expect for Rise of the Tomb Raider to arrive on the Xbox consoles in the 2015 holiday season, but releases on additional platfoms will be a long way off from that. At least winter of 2016 is our guess.
