In addition to the electronic download version of Minecraft for PlayStation 4, we have confirmed that a retail disc version of Minecraft will be released for the PlayStation 4 as well.

Due to arrive at retailers next month the retail disc version will join the electronic version in the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 4 that has been there since the start of this month. North America retailers are expecting it to arrive on October 7th.

It has also been revealed that more information on the PS Vita version of Minecraft is coming in a couple weeks as well as information on how “Cross-buy” will be implemented with the PS3 and PS Vita versions of Minecraft.
