By way of recent comments from the Codemasters blog, we now know that later this week we should expect an announcement from the Codies on what we can expect from them this year. The developer has been talking about new titles for a while, without getting into the specifics. We do know that it is very likely that part of the announcement will be the company’s first next-gen titles for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

As for what titles are likely to be announced, we have to think that the announcements will include a new DiRT title, while another title for the GRID franchise is possible, given that we just saw a release of a GRID title last year, we are thinking DiRT is the logical next title to be announced. The bigger question for it is if it will be both a current and Next-Gen title or will the Codies just go Next-Gen with it.

We also expect Codemasters will likely confirm its new F1 title. In addition to confirming the new F1 title, we suspect that at the same time they will confirm that it will be the first one for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It is very likely however that at least this year they will do a Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version of the game as well, which will suspect will be the last before they fully cut the franchise over to Next-Gen only releases.
