After the exciting announcement from Warner Bros about the new Rocksteady next-generation Batman game, we have now found out that at least right now it is projected for an October 14th release in North America and October 17th in Europe. We have been told however, that the release date could change and the October release dates are only a projected release date at this point.

Those that pre-order Arkham Knight from GameStop will get the bonus of being able to play as Harley Quinn and four additional challenge maps that utilize her unique weapons and abilities. Pre-orders are only being taken for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC versions of the game, as Rocksteady confirmed that there will be no release of Arkham Knight on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii U.

The news that the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the Wii U will not be getting Arkham Knight has not gone over very well with many expressing their displeasure of Rocksteady’s decision to focus the latest Batman release only for the latest hardware. While it was a difficult decision, it is something that we are likely to see more of, not less of as time goes by on the older consoles.
