After a lot of back and forth on if there would actually be a beta of Titanfall prior to the game’s release, news from Vince Zampella’s Twitter feed indicates that a beta is coming. The official specifics will be announced in the days ahead.

What we do know is that the Beta will start in the second week of February and run for a couple of weeks prior to the game’s launch on March 11th in North America and March 14th in Europe. In a bit of strangeness, the beta will apparently only be for the Xbox One and PC versions of Titanfall. (That’s right, no beta for the Xbox 360 version.)

As for how getting into the beta will work, we keep hearing that it will depend on your pre-ordering the game at GameStop, but that has yet to be confirmed. We are not sure how that is going to work given that most have already pre-ordered, and would have to revisit the store to get a code to get into the beta or something. We have seen this before from GameStop with a beta, however.
