Microsoft has announced 32 developers that have registered and been accepted into the company’s ID@Xbox program, which is better known as its indie developer and self-publishing program. In addition it has confirmed that it has relaxed its exclusivity requirement and will work with developers on a case by case basis for titles that have already been released on other gaming consoles or gaming platforms.

The initial list of developers that have signed on include: Comcept, Inis, Vlambeer, Double Eleven, Slightly Mad Studios, Born Ready, Crytek, Happion Labs (Jamie Fristrom), Definition 6 (Chris Hecker), Team 17, Panic Button, Double Fine, Drinkbox (Chris McQuinn), Team Colorblind, Signal Studios, Zen Studios, Bongfish, Half-Brick, Ninja Bee, Zeboyd Games, Cosmic Star Heroine, Nicalis, The Men Who Wear Many Hats, Iron Galaxy, Jackbox Games, High Voltage Software, Capybara, Hidden Path, Gaijin Games, The Odd Gentlemen, WayForward, Other Ocean, and Behaviour.

Yes, you will recognize a lot of those developers. Microsoft has also confirmed that it has already shipped more than 50 development kits out to developers and it is working to continue to ramp up its efforts to independent developers. The company expects to announce more developers in the weeks ahead.
