Sony has dropped system update version 1.51 that is now available for download by the time you read this. The 1.51 update is the second update that Sony has released for the PlayStation 4 since the console was released in North America.

The 1.51 update is mandatory that Sony says will improve “stability of the system software” as well as add some “minor refinements to the system user interface”. Perhaps the only real thing that most people will notice is that when the system is downloading a game and a game patch at the same time.

If your PlayStation 4 happens to be in stand-by mode it will download the 1.51 update automatically.
