Rhode Island had delayed the auction in order to allow more bidders to organize bids because of much more interest than initially expected. There is a lot going across the block for sure including the entire Big Huge Games portfolio that 38 Studios acquired when it purchased the developer.
The titles include Kingdoms of Amalur, Project Copernicus MMO, Rise of Nations, Rise of Legends, Catan, Rise of Nations: Tactics, the Big Huge Games Engine, and the Helios development and management platform.
While none of the usual suspects are admitting interesting the auction, it is known that EA would like a sequel to Kingdoms of Amalur and sources say that Take Two is also an interested party that might be among those with a serious bid.
