Sega has been tapping into the mobile device space with its low-cost ($2.99) offerings of Classic Sega titles such as Sonic the Hedgehog. The new Sonic release features updates such as widescreen support, new remastered soundtrack, and leaderboards. With the enhancements, these conversions of classics seem a very smart way for Sega to squeeze more cash from these titles, as the retro classic novelty just continues to sell.

Now the circle is complete
The blue ball of fur known as Sonic the Hedgehog has completed his journey, as Sonic has now been released for those with Android devices. The Android release comes on the heels of a recently released iOS version which also gets an update.
