Is Criterion working on another racing title? Rumors seem to indicate that the studio has had a second racing title in development and publisher Electronic Arts plans for a 2013 release for this unannounced title.

A look at the LinkedIn profile for several Criterion or former Criterion employees seems to indicate that there is an unannounced title in development. As for what it could be, it is possible that it is nothing more than the Ghost Games’ Need for Speed title that Criterion is very involved with; or it could be something else.

As for the something else, there are a number of things it could be. A new Burnout title is a possibility, but we don’t think it would be a sequel to Burnout Paradise, as the studio has indicated that it would be unlikely that they would do a direct sequel to Burnout Paradise.

Another possibility could be another Need for Speed title of some sort, but if you want the wildest of possibilities, what about a Criterion-produced Road Rash revival title? It seems like a good fit for Criterion, according to Craig Sullivan, Creative Director at Criterion, when talking to the Guardian.
