Electronic Arts has confirmed that the attempt to reboot the Medal of Honor franchise fell well below the expectations the company had for the franchise reboot. As a result, Medal of Honor will return to the EA vault with no plans for any more additional titles in the franchise.

While the company believes that the reboots of Medal of Honor received review scores much lower than the two releases deserved, sales didn’t come for the title and it never seemed to gain any traction with consumers.

EA had no additional comment on the future of EA’s Danger Close studio that was responsible for the Medal of Honor reboots. The company has announced that it does have plans to bring continuity to its shooter title offerings, but the company provided no additional details on what those plans might be.
