COD Elite gets overhauled
Activision looking for more subscribers
An overhaul of the Activision Call of Duty: Elite subscription service is at hand. The redesign is still built around the connect, compete, and improve pillars, but they have been renamed and reworked in an effort to make the website better-designed for easier navigation and ease of use.
Connect is now known as Clan HQ. Compete has been changed to Competitions, and Improve has been split into sections that are broken into maps, weapons, game modes and more. While much of the content is there, the navigation is done by hovering over the menu that runs across the top of the page.
While the redesign is squarely aimed at gaining more subscribers, there still is no word on how Call of Duty: Black Ops II will be used by the Elite service. Activision wants to expand the subscriber base; and by making these changes, they hope the fresh coat of paint will get COD fans talking about the Elite service again.
