Devil’s Third’s development continues
New deal with Doobic makes it possible
Tomonobu Itagaki’s Devil’s Third, which was cut loose by publisher THQ, is back at full speed development after a deal has been struck as a joint venture between Valhalla Game Studios and Korean developer Doobic Games Studios, who is best known for the Combat Arms series.
THQ liked Devil’s Third, but given THQ’s current situation it was not sure about the profitability of the game; and as a result it returned the property back to Valhalla after THQ was unsuccessful in finding a buyer for the IP.
The biggest news from the deal is that in addition to a version for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Devil’s Third will be coming to the PC as well as tablet platforms running iOS and Android.
No new release date was confirmed, but it is expected that we should hear more about the plans soon.
