Nintendo has officially confirmed that despite a number of rumors that the upcoming The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword would offer a special mode for left-handed players, this is simply inaccurate.
While the game will use the MotionPlus technology, it will not allow left-handed players to flip flop controls. According to what Nintendo told Kotaku, the suggested southpaw mode does not exist and will not be part of the game.
With the Wii U coming next, it is largely expected that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will be one of the last major titles for the Wii platform when it arrives in November. While a number of developers still have titles in the pipeline for the Wii, the number of releases is definitely starting to slow down.
