Microsoft Studios has snapped up another title as an exclusive for the Xbox 360. This time around, the highly impressive Skulls of the Shotgun that has been so popular at recent tradeshows has been picked up by Microsoft Studios to publish and offer the game as an Xbox Live Arcade title.

The game is best described as a retro strategy game that is being developed by Haunted Temple Studios. Haunted Temple has a number of developers that were part of Electronic Art’s Command & Conquer 4 studio in Los Angeles, which was hit hard with layoffs last year. The studio features a number of developers that have worked on a number of AAA titles and have many years of development experience.

Skulls of the Shotgun was shown to much fanfare at E3, and the game was even nominated for the best strategy game of the show. No timeline has given as to when we can expect Skulls of the Shotgun to be released.
