Sources close to AMD have confirmed that ATI’s Radeon HD 2600 and 2400 cards are PCIe 2.0 compatible and that even R600, Radeon HD 2900XT is a PCIe 2.0 compatible card.
All they need to do is to make the Bios update and all the sudden these cards will become PCIe 2.0 compatible.
We don’t think that PCIe 2.0 will bring a lot of performance but it will be a cool feature to get on the box.
