One of this year’s most anticipated titles has finally gotten a release date and we now know that Terrans, Zerg and Protoss are set to continue duking it out on 27th of July 2010.

The storyline will pick up from where Brood War left off, so get ready for some "light reading". You probably already know that the game will launch hand in hand with the new battle.net service, which is revamped and improved and will do a world of good for pretty much anyone’s gaming experience.

Blizzard says digital downloads from the company’s digital download stores will commence shortly after the retail launch but you can find out more from the official announcement here.
