Civilization Network coming to Facebook in June
Double the addiction at no charge
As if addictive nature of Civilization series wasn’t enough to tear a chunk of our time away (it’s a recurring phenomena unfortunately), Sid Meier has decided to bring his hit game to the popular social networking platform, Facebook.
The Civilization Network, as the project is called, will get an open beta that should start sometime in June and will allow players to play solo, multiplayer competitive and co-op games. Even better is the fact that the game will be free so you can indulge all you want and even compare your governing feats to other players.
In his initial announcement, Sid Meier said how “You can coordinate your strategy to win great battles, share your technology to jump ahead of your rivals, lobby your family and friends to form your own government and win vital elections”. Of course, Facebook is a great place to practice your dirty governing routines and will probably see ludicrous levels of nepotism that for once in the history of mankind won’t be frowned upon. (Sounds like Bosnia. sub.ed.)
