No promises for Zelda in 2010
Nintendo not committed to Zelda in 2010
Nintendo is still hedging its bets and being very cagey as to whether or not we will see a new Zelda release next year. According to sources, Reggie Fils-Aime from Nintendo of America is quoted as saying, “We haven’t committed to Zelda in 2010” during a recent discussion with Geoff Keighley of GTTV.
Of course, this news isn’t going to make fans of the franchise happy, but it could be that it is nothing more than an effort to suppress the ever present rumor mill, which has speculated for some time that the next chapter in the franchise was already in development for a 2010 holiday release.
Our sources are telling us not to fear the news, as it is expected that Nintendo will make an announcement on the future of Zelda either at CES in January or more likely in June at E3.
