PSP sales up 300%
Thanks to PSP Go
Since its debut on October 1, Sony's PSP Go has managed to jumpstart PSP sales in the US, increasing them by 300 percent in the space of a week.
Talking to Gamasutra, Sony Computer Entertainment America corporate communications director Patrick Seybold said that the launch has generated strong consumer interest in the platform and a significant increase in PlayStation Network revenue.
In addition to the PSP Go's success, the hype seems to have helped out the PSP-3000 as well, along with the launch of Gran Tourismo and FIFA 2010. Seybold he expects strong holiday sales for both PSP Go and PSP-3000 consoles, fueled in part by new game launches, including Assassin's Creed Bloodlines.
