Dirt 2 does implement DirectX 11
At least the important part
According to what we saw, Codemasters' Dirt 2 will implement DirectX 11, at least the important parts of it. The main points of DirectX 11 will find their place in Dirt 2 and we are quite sure that this game will look better when played in DirectX 11.
Things like dynamic water surfaces and cloth, as well as animated crowds, which are part of hardware tessellation, will be seen in Dirt 2. The list of course doesn't stop there, as high quality shadow filtering and depth of field features that are part of Shader Model 5.0 will be implemented as well.
The ultimate question is will all this be worth the wait, but the game will look better when played with DirectX 11 hardware, and the HD 5800 series is the only card with that "title" for now.
