Wii Sports Resort is scheduled to hit the shelves next week but Nintendo's clever peddling of peripherals doesn’t show signs of stopping. As a matter of fact, NPD figures for June show that the company sold almost half a million MotionPlus units.
As a standalone product MotionPlus sold 169K units, whereas the rest was moved thanks to Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 which includes the Motion Plus and has sold 272,400 units.
It’s interesting to see figures of almost half a million before we’ve even seen the launch of Wii Sports Resort, which will also come with bundled MotionPlus, and it goes a long way to show that Nintendo’s business model is still far superior to the competitors’.
