It appears that Nintendo’s little-big gaming device, the DS has its sights set for global domination, as it’s not only a gamer’s best portable friend in Japan, North America and EU, but  now officially in Australia as well.

Nintendo has announced that the device sold two million units since launch, becoming the fastest gaming console to hit that mark. Of course, the sales combine DS, DS Lite and DSi but that doesn’t make this achievement any lesser.

Australia is home to about 21.7 million people so simple number crunching says that one out of ten people own one of these.
