French video game maker Ubisoft has
signed a deal US fitness giant Gold's Gym.
The deal has resulted in a "Gold's Gym:
Cardio Workout" exercise video game designed exclusively for Wii consoles made
by Nintendo. Gold was made famous by celebrity
bodybuilders such as Arnold Schwarzenegger and featured in a 1977 "Pumping Iron"
film.
The video game takes advantage of Wii
Balance Board controllers it features heart-rate boosting versions of boxing,
sit-ups, running and other exercises and tracks amounts of calories burned along
with changes in body weight.
As yet it does not have a section that
requires you to pump your body with steroids which is one of the reasons why
Schwarzenegger suffered from heart problems.
It will be having a Wii near you in
March 31 of this year.
