Harmonix’s Alex Rigopoulos confirmed that there won’t be a third Rock band game in 2009. He added how they chose to “break out of the annual release cycle for Rock Band this year.”
The company is allegedly busy with the Beatles game they’ve announced in October last year, but Rigopoulos added how “the annual cycle places limits on the choices you can make as a developer”. We’re not quite sure what he means by that, but I guess we’ll live to see.
After the Beatles game is done, Harmonix will do a Led Zeppelin one, which suggest that this company’s rock ’n roll’s not dead yet, so they don’t plan on sitting idle the whole year. The company was also asked about the rumored keyboard peripheral, but the provided answer was a simple – maybe.
