Back in February, Sharp and Hitachi were accused of price-fixing their supply of Nintendo DS screens and Kotaku.com reports that the Japanese government finally reacted.
The government ordered Sharp to pay $3 million dollars until March ’09 for conspiring with Hitachi to fix prices, which is in violation of this country’s Antimonopoly act.
Sharp says that they did not engage in any activities that would violate the Act, but there’s not much they can do about it.
