Halflife2.net forums recently posted system requirements for Valve’s upcoming shooter Left 4 Dead, and interestingly enough, they claim they’ve received it from Valve’s Marketing VP, Doug Lombardi.
We’re not sure if these are recommended requirements, but if they are minimum requirements you’ll probably need double the amount of quoted RAM and and a better graphics card than the quoted 256MB one. Also, users have been commenting that 7.5GB of free space is a bit steep, but hey – a small price to pay for this carnage.
So, the requirements are:
OS: Windows Vista, XP or 2000
CPU: 3.0 GHz P4, Dual Core 2.0 or AMD64X2 (or higher)
RAM: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista
Optical Drive: DVD-ROM Drive
HD: At least 7.5 GB of free space
Graphics: Direct X 9 compatible video card (Video card must be 256 MB or more and should be a DirectX 9-compatible with support for pixel shader 2.0)
Audio: Direct X9.0c compatible sound card
