Mario Super Sluggers coming for Wii
Baseball to be the next big Wii target
Nintendo will be taking sports to the next level with Mario Super Sluggers for the Wii. Players use the Wii Remote to mimic the motions of baseball while they play the game.
Mario Super Sluggers will be US$50 when it hits stores shortly. It will push the Wii Sports series to the next level and Nintendo realizes that this game should be a big hit when it hits shelves and keep players interested in their Wii consoles.
Many Wii owners continue to complain that the quality and number of games that are coming out for the Wii console continue to pale in comparison to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 titles.
While Nintendo seems to continue to be the secondary console of choice, it also seems that Nintendo need to continue to work with developers, as well as to develop new and interesting titles in house in order to keep the momentum going for the Wii console, which will be hard to do this holiday season with the expected battle between the console manufacturers.
