Nintendo heads into Guitar Hero territory
Facing the music
Maker of absurdly titled games consoles, Nintendo has decided that it can make bucketloads of cash by getting involved in the Guitar Hero fad.
Nintendo has announced plans to launch a music game for its Wii console this year that looks a lot like Activision's Guitar Hero. Called Wii Music, which in English would mean 'little tune', or 'music you might listen to in one of those more swanky toilets', the game can play more than 60 different instruments. The other gimmick will be that the game can use the motion sensitive controller to play.
Guitar Hero already plays on all three game consoles, including the Wii, so Nintendo will be competing with the winner of the air guitar wars.
